Thoughts for today

We will all die one day. Most people think that their deaths will be in some far distant future. We put things off that we want to do because death will never come to us and our lives are infinite in our minds. It is difficult to perceive that one day we shall cease and certainly not soon. Those that face death are brought to the realization that each moment is so precious, that those times we waste, watching TV, looking at our ever-present phones are moments we have lost forever. Ordinary things take on exquisite beauty, even breathing becomes ecstasy. They can feel the breath as it enters and leaves and the pulse of it flowing throughout their bodies. The early cool mornings of fall and the sweet smell of the subtle breeze, the twitter of birds become infinite moments spread seemingly to hours. Friends become so much more important, showing them love becomes the object of desire. Each holiday, a feast of memories and laughter, and love to be remembered forever. Those faces upon which we gaze imprinted, cherished, but also tainted with a sadness that we may not see them grow. Every single thing in life is fully treasured. People have pity for those that are dying, but they should have joy and some envy. There is no more time for procrastination. Life is lived fully for the moment, for the experience. Life becomes focused on those things that are the most important to achieve. It is now a whirlwind. People have pity but they should pity themselves, too. Because they think their lives are so long, there are many things they will have to leave by the wayside when their time comes, unless they live each day as if it is their last. If you died tomorrow, what would you regret not doing? Do it today. There may not be a tomorrow. Do it for you and those who love. Make their lives and your life full of joy and excitement, for you know that life can end in an instant for anyone, no matter how old and definitely no matter who they are or their struggle. Live Live Live!
